  • The City of St. Louis has a complex history with public safety, and I do support those Officers who decide to serve our city each day. It is important to recognize those facts while also demanding policing reforms.

I support regaining local control of the city police department, it should have never been returned to State control - a remanent of a civil war era policy implemented as a means of political control.

We must further support those suffering from mental health issues including substance abuse disorder. The city should be doing so by working to expand alternative dispatch responses, sending trained crisis workers to protect vulnerable members of our community.

  • As a proud queer person I promise to remain the strong advocate for equal rights I have been since coming out at the young age of 12.

Be it fighting to protect our trans brothers and sisters, or fighting to up hold same sex marriage. I promise to fight and stand up for you.

  • The city of St. Louis has long deferred capital improvements causing poor quality streets, failing water infrastructure, and various other issues. And this certainly contributes to our declining population. No one wants to live in a city that’s falling apart.

But it doesn’t have to be that way, we can make these much needed improvements by focusing on root causes.

One way the city is improving our roads is by holding Utilities accountable. I worked on Ordinance 71943 the ‘Utility Coordination Policy', which adopted more strict restoration requirements on any excavation in the right of way - including by utility providers.

  • The city of St. Louis’ North and West sides suffered a devastating tornado on May 16, 2025; which caused the most damage our city has seen since 1896. Rebuilding is the top priority, working with the community to ensure they can stay and inform the revitalization of their homes.

The Community Development Administration (‘CDA’) should be working with the St. Louis Development Corporation (‘SLDC’) on doing just this. The SLDC is now under state statute allowed to enter into public private partnerships, which sets the stage for ‘Green Social Housing’. A model of housing that prioritizes longterm sustainability and affordability by incorporating environmentally friendly design and mixed income units.

  • Vacancy is an issue that effects our entire city, living next to one of these properties can be extremely frustrating. That’s why I care about tackling negligent property owners.

We must pass legislation to crack down on ‘faceless entities’ these shell companies buying up our land and leaving it to rot.

Continuing to aggressively pursue problematic vacant properties through the tax sale processes, leveraging fines and fees to force accountability.

And of course, continued partnership and increased funding for incredible community assets such as Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, a legal non-profit that utilizes litigation to force action on vacant property.
